	Office is located in the new annex building behind the old Courthouse on the first floor. OHIO CERTIFICATE OF TITLES FOR AUTOMOBILE AND WATERCRAFT: -Accept MC/Visa(Automobile only), personal check, and cash -Must show proof of ID: re: Ohio Drivers License

30 DAY TAGS must be purchased prior to transferring a certificate of title
All liens on the face of a certificate of title must be canceled by the Clerk of Courts Title office. Liens may be canceled in any county in the state of Ohio
When you sell your motor vehicle, MAKE SURE the buyers name and address, the purchase price and mileage information are filled out in full before your signature is notarized either in front of a notary, or in front of a Deputy Clerk in the titles office.
Never make any alterations, erasures or use whiteout on a certificate of title. If this is done, the title becomes null and void and a new title will have to be issued
Used vehicles purchased out-of-state require a serial number inspection
A certificate of title may be obtained in any county in the State of Ohio.
Your Social Security Number is REQUIRED BY LAW WHEN applying for a certificate of title
A transfer of title must be made within 30 days of notary date to avoid a $5.00 penalty
DO NOT leave your certificate of title in your car. It is similar to the deed of your Real Estate Property. It is your only proof of ownership. Take good care of it.

WATERCRAFT REGISTRATIONS:

The Seneca County Clerk of Courts-Title Department will now be able to issue Boat Registrations. Our Hours are 8:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday thru Friday. We are located in the new annex building on the first floor.
We can do your Ohio Certificate of Titles and then also do your Watercraft Registrations for the State of Ohio.

Some items you will need to bring with you so we can issue your Watercraft Registrations are:

current drivers license, Date of birth
Ohio Certificate of Title for the boat (if titled)
if not titled, Manufacturers Statement of Origin, bill of sale, or Sales Receipt, year, make, Serial Number
Valid 12 character hull ID # (HIN) on the boat. If you don't have 12 digits, you will need to call the Div of Watercraft to apply for one. Sandusky Office 419-621-1402
